“We are excited to join the cluster and be part of the innovative environment cultivated by Smart Innovation Norway”

This fall, American energy management company CarbonMinus became the latest member of the NCE Smart Energy Markets cluster. The company’s motivation? To contribute to and gain from the collective expertise of the Nordic market.

“As a real-time SaaS (software as a service) platform, CarbonMinus is dedicated to helping manufacturing industries and commercial complexes reduce energy and resource consumption. We share the cluster’s commitment to advancing sustainable practices in the energy market,” says Ashok Ranadive, CEO and Co-founder of CarbonMinus.

His company, based in the United States and India, operates at the intersection of energy management and sustainability, empowering businesses to rethink success by incorporating eco-friendly practices.

“The collaborative environment within the NCE Smart Energy Markets cluster offers a unique opportunity to expand our reach and work with other industry leaders toward a sustainable future. Joining this community is a strategic move to contribute to, and benefit from, collective expertise in the Nordic market,” Ranadive elaborates.

Expanding in Europe

By joining the cluster, CarbonMinus aims to connect with like-minded companies and energy experts to broaden their knowledge of the Nordic market and explore collaborative opportunities and partnerships.

“As we expand beyond India, where our technology is already in use by over 72 clients – including well-known brands like Kirloskars, ONGC, Indian Oil, Pidilite, as well as European multinationals such as Huber Group and Vulkan – we hope to leverage the cluster’s resources to drive growth in Europe,” the Co-founder explains. He adds:

“We look forward to participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives and staying at the forefront of innovation in energy efficiency and sustainability.”

Delivering Valuable Technology

With their proven technology that helps clients reduce energy consumption and meet sustainability reporting requirements, CarbonMinus brings valuable expertise to the cluster.

“Our platform provides real-time insights and analytics that aid clients in achieving tangible results in resource efficiency, and we are eager to share our knowledge and solutions with other cluster members. We look forward to supporting the cluster’s goals and engaging in meaningful projects that push the boundaries of sustainability,” says Ranadive.

Victoria Næss Jensen, Project Manager at Smart Innovation Norway and responsible for the NCE Smart Energy Markets Cluster, warmly welcomes the new addition:

“Welcome, CarbonMinus! We are thrilled to have Ashok and his team join the cluster and are excited for the journey ahead.”
