Sustainable business development in the transport sector
The project is a continuation of the pilot project "Decarbonization of commercial transport". The project continues a desired cluster-to-cluster collaboration that both mobilizes the lifting power in the region and maps the opportunities for exportable business development on the road to a zero-emission target in 2050.
The project will mobilize Norwegian cluster companies that supply or can supply services and products for a future green transport industry. Sustainable social and industrial development is created through interdisciplinary development projects that utilize the expertise of companies
within and outside the clusters.
- The project facilitates the achievement of Norway's 2030 and 2050 climate targets. Decarbonizing commercial transport is a radical transformation of an industrial sector.
- The project will highlight the digital expertise available in the networks and will identify the enabling technologies to be used to achieve a sufficient green transition.
- The project has clearly defined the objective that Norwegian businesses with a foothold in Viken will spearhead the decarbonization of the European transport sector. Norwegian expertise, services and products of a scalable and international caliber will be developed.
The consortium in the project has gathered unique expertise in autonomous mobility, sustainable transport, commercialization of electric solutions for fossil-free and energy-efficient road transport, as well as energy systems and smart grids.
